— Neil Gaiman, Stardust

Nothing is more unnerving to the truly conventional than the unashamed misfit.

The door was the way to... to... The Door was The Way. Good. Capital letters were always the best way of dealing with things you didn't have a good answer to.
— Douglas Adams, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (1987)

‎"I always tell the girls, 'never take it seriously.' If you never take it seriously, you never get hurt, you always have fun and if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends."

I grew up with the constant sound of guitars in my house so I love this picture purely for that, but I’m rather partial to the detailed flooring and stacks of magazines as well.

Fire glass produces more heat than real wood, and also is environmentally friendly. There is no smoke, it’s odorless and doesn’t produce ash. You are able to stay toasty warm without cutting down trees and the specially formulated glass crystals give off no toxic deposit.

Holy shit it really exists

main benefit: it looks a lot like sorcery

they use this shit all the time in hot pot dishes in some chinese restaurants

no smoke, no toxins, no ash? This sounds great but, what’s the catch?

The glass isn’t the fuel. It’s a decoration for gas fires.

As a being that appears to be outside the boundaries of physics, let us assume, then, that I am born from human imagination. If I am, then my history and my time on this planet are also part of that creation. Several of my footprints have been found at various places in the fossil record, though they were discarded as hoaxes or erroneous discoveries.

Either way, I have had a very real impact on this planet. This would imply the human mind is capable of great power. The power to shape the world.
